Design Brief: Design a new logo and brand identity for guitar teacher, Michael Howard.
Challenge: After discussing Michael’s background and teaching style, we discovered that his unique approach to guitar teaching, along with the techniques he uses, was what set him apart from his competitors. Armed with this knowledge, I set out to design a logo and brand that reflected Michael’s approach to his work.
Solution: The result is a groovy logo, set of illustrations, icons and unique colour palette that together, work as strong branding elements and give his audience an instant feel for what they can expect when they book a lesson with Soul Revival Music.
Feedback: Michael is super happy with this new branding and busy spreading the word about his lessons across his social channels. He said that having a design that reflected his personality and teaching style has made him more confident and excited to start his new business.
Illustrations
A set of illustrations were created for Michael to use in his social posts and other collateral. This is a great way to get your social pages looking super slick when professional photos aren’t an option.
Web Tiles & Social Media Posts
I created a set of web tiles to kick start the business and get some interest across Instagram and Facebook. The tiles were targeted to specific areas Michael wanted to focus on, like the School Holiday Program and discounted promos. The tiles are a great way to start engaging with your customers right away. The consistent illustration style and colour palette mean your customers will start to become familiar with your brand and product, which then helps to build a loyal customer base.
